Biography

Tabitha is an MD/PhD student in the Translational Neuroscience Program at Wayne State University. Her research interests focus on the effects of individual factors such as previous experiences, psychiatric disorders, and genetics on substance use. Her main project is exploring the effects of frontal-cortical repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) on stress-related drug seeking and related behaviors in individuals with opioid use disorder. She also works on other projects looking at different types of substance use and negative consequences of use as well as exploring the access and use of naloxone by the general public as well as medical professionals.
