Biography
To date, Marina’s work has focused on exploring individual differences among individuals who use substances (e.g., tobacco, alcohol, cannabis, opioids), as well as interventions and comorbidities involving substance use. Recently, she has been investigating sex differences in people living with HIV/AIDS who are seeking treatment in a smoking cessation trial. She is also involved with a project examining the support needs of under-resourced tobacco users living in public housing and is conducting a systematic review of the relationship between adolescent gambling and use of various substances, including tobacco.
